Although it was a mainly theoretical course, I found Architecture History and Theory to be fascinating and enthralling. We travelled through various periods of architecture like the Greco-Roman, Egyptian, and Gothic to name a few. My favorite style of architecture that I have discovered through this course was Art Deco. We learned about Art Deco and Modernism through the course material and lecture, but we also had a guest lecturer give an incredibly informative and enjoyable lecture about Modernism in Architecture in Malaysia; An all in all wonderful topic of how architecture styles can cross geographical borders. When it comes to the online tutorials, I had the privilege of experiencing a new method of tutoring, an AI tutor (named Walter) which as cold as it sounds at first, was a very engaging and interactive experience; This was alongside other activities that also helped me understand the course material better such as the kahoot quizzes we had during the first couple of lectures.
