I did not know what to expect of this subject before taking it. I thought it might be a somewhat boring subject with no real engagement and interactions with our environment. I am glad to say that I was completely wrong; Design Communication turned out to be the most interesting and “fun” subject I have taken so far. There were various activities through the course that were not only educational experiences but were also highly interactive which helped me absorb and fully understand the ideas we were learning in lectures; A great example of this would be the first activity in the semester where we had to go out in campus and pick two buildings to draw. This was to hone our live-sketching skills. The lecturers were nothing but helpful and encouraging throughout the course, especially Dr. Lia who was incredibly supportive and understanding. Even the online resources and lectures were highly organized which was very helpful during self-studies as it made for a well-structured learning experience.
