Self-Reflection
As expected, Studio 2 proved to be the most demanding course out of all the others that I have taken this semester. Yet, my studio experience this semester was tremendously unlike my first studio experience; as I actually had some basic level of understanding going into the module and was already adapted to studio life, unlike my first semester. Architectural Design 2 was thrilling, as I have had previous experiences designing a personal structure, but never with an actual site to consider. I have learned how to simplify architectural principles and concepts in the form of diagrams, as well as how to conduct a proper site analysis and the importance it carries when designing a structure. Lastly, I have learned the importance of having my design respond to the specific site it is built on, be it in terms of materiality, climate or the user. However, I definitely do feel like I could have pushed myself further in terms of my designing ability, as well as made studio more of a priority in terms of my time management.
